Stocks, Hayden lead the way for the Gators

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Tamara Stocks scored 23 points and Vanessa Hayden added 13 points and 14 rebounds to lead Florida to an 85-48 victory over Kentucky on Sunday.

Tombi Bell scored 14 points and Naomi Mobley added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Gators (13-1, 2-0 Southeastern Conference; No. 15 ESPN/USA Today; No. 14 Associated Press), who shot 52 percent and outrebounded the Wildcats 53-31.

SeSe Helm scored 13 for Kentucky (4-9, 0-2).

Florida led 41-37 early in the second half when Brandi McCain's basket started a 28-2 Florida run. Stocks scored 10 points during the burst and her layup with 10:09 left in the game gave Florida a 69-39 lead.

Kentucky sank just six of 30 shots (20 percent) and scored 13 points in the second half. The Wildcats shot 30 percent (21-for-69) for the game.
