Ferdinand's 21 points pace LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Marie Ferdinand scored 21 points and LSU (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 9 AP) came from eight points behind at halftime to beat Arkansas 61-54 in a Southeastern Conference game Thursday night.

Down by 34-26 at the half, LSU (11-4 overall, 2-1 SEC) held Arkansas (9-6, 0-3) to just 26.7 percent field goal shooting (8-of-30) in the second half while outscoring the Lady Razorbacks 35-20.

LSU also held an 11-4 foul-shooting advantage over Arkansas, which lost committed 18 fouls and lost starters Shaneka Christon and Lonniya Bragg to fouls.

April Brown added 15 points for LSU and Ke-Ke Tardy had 11.

Wendi Willits with 13 points and Christon with 11 led Arkansas.
