SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Chargers might be without All-Pro defenders Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison when they face the Cleveland Browns Sunday.
Seau missed his third straight day of practice Friday because of a pulled stomach muscle and a rib injury. Coach Mike Riley reiterated that a decision on the linebacker's availability might not be made until game time. Harrison, meanwhile, aggravated a left shoulder injury that's sidelined the safety for six games, which coincides with the Chargers' losing streak. Harrison left the Chargers' complex with his arm in a sling. "I've got no comment," he said. Trainer James Collins said Harrison likely tore some scar tissue. Harrison probably won't play, although that's not a final decision, Collins said. Also Friday, the Chargers signed rookie receiver Robert Reed from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room for Reed, the Chargers released defensive lineman Chris Mims for the second time this season. Mims still faces misdemeanor chargers stemming from an attack outside a fast food restaurant on Sept. 27.
