Korey Stringer trimmed down to 340 pounds this year. It has improved his quickness and will help him in his battle with Michael Strahan. Stringer has always been a big, physical guy, but now he can move. This will be one of the most even battles on the field. Stringer can certainly win this battle but that will largely depend on how the rest of the offense is doing around him.
Stringer will find his advantage in down-and-distance situations. If the Vikings are in third-and-8 all day, Strahan will be able to tee off and will probably beat Stringer. But the Vikings' offense is a potent one. If Robert Smith gets going and puts them into second-and-short, then the advantage shifts to Stringer. Strahan will be off balance worrying about all the different weapons the Vikings have available.

Michael Strahan moves better than Korey Stringer does. This is not just a battle of big, heavyweight fighters. Athleticism is going to be a factor here as well. Strahan has the edge there and that will be the advantage that he wins with. He can play physically with Stringer, but where he will beat him is with his speed and agility. He explodes off the ball and can beat Stringer upfield with quickness and moves.
After a fantastic game against the Eagles last week, Strahan is playing some of his best football. He will get the better of Kory Stringer this weekend.
