User feedback: 2001 Schedule

ESPN.com

The NFL unveiled the schedule for the 2001 season Thursday. Here are your thoughts on everything from the easiest and hardest schedules to who deserved more primetime respect:
Tony Siragusa
Tony Siragusa and the Ravens are looking for a return trip to the Super Bowl.

I have two things to say. First, I always thought that the Super Bowl champs would play the first game on MNF ( that's messed up). Secondly, after reviewing the 2001 schedule, I have a good feeling that we will REPEAT!! Go Ravens!!
Manny Sterrett
Baltimore, Md.

With three of the last four at home and a bye in December, the Ravens are going back to the Super Bowl.
Rob Leimbach
Baltimore, Md.

The Patriots will make the playoffs and use their Week 17 bye as a pre-first round week off. Go Pats!
Lance Methot
Bedford, N.H.

I thought that Buffalo vs. San Diego would have been a marquee matchup and put in a national slot. Think about it. Rob Johnson and the new Buffalo Bills versus former Bills Doug Flutie and John Butler. So much drama could have been made out of it, I'm surprised that the NFL let that one slide.
Paul Mischler

I can't believe the Chiefs aren't going to make a single appearance on Monday Night Football. Green Bay, Washington, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and the Jets were all non playoff teams who are on the schedule. At least I won't have to listen to Dennis Miller talk about my favorite team.
Jared Rodecker
Davis, Calif.

It looks like my beloved Cowboys might not win a game all year.
Rusog Hatfield
New York, N.Y.

Washington gets two Monday Night and two Sunday Night games. Based on what? Can't be last year's record. Did Daniel Synder threaten somebody? How many times do I need to see Jeff George, and Synder screaming in the press box?
Steve Dudzik
Chicago, Ill.

What kind of schedule would the Giants have had if they won the Super Bowl? Their first half schedule is murder!
Garvin Walbrook
Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Giants might not win six games this year.
Dave Quinn
Devon, Pa.

I am very disappointed with the schedule. I honestly thought Tampa Bay, with the powerhouse of a team they have, would be on national television more than twice. I find it very disappointing. What the heck are crummy teams like Jacksonville, San Francisco, and Pittsburgh doing on Monday night. By the end of this next year, I guarantee you ABC will be disappointed and should think hard about why the Bucs are only on twice.

Clearwater, Fla.

Go Niners! Man, we're gonna have some classics this year. We finally got a Monday nighter, and even a Sunday nighter. Feels good to finally get noticed again as one of the up and coming teams.
Ross Hernandez
San Jose, Calif.
