Burning question of training camp

 ESPN.com

As NFL teams hit training camp this week, ESPN.com begins its series of burning questions with the experts at Bristol University.

With former Pro Bowlers like Terrell Davis, Jamal Anderson, Vinny Testaverde and John Mobley all returning from serious injuries, we kick things off with the following question:

Which injured player will come back with the best season?

Andrea Kremer
Terrell Davis
His injury happened early in the season, and he seems to have rehabbed well. He hadn't had a history of knee injuries, and he has a good attitude. With Olandis Gary there, Davis doesn't need to be the Broncos' workhorse. He will still be the focal point, though.

Sean Salisbury
Terrell Davis
Because the Broncos will be more successful and Olandis Gary can always spell him, Davis will come back and have a big year. I don't think Davis will miss much of a beat. He will be back full force.

Merril Hoge
Terrell Davis
The pieces of the puzzle are more intact for Davis than they are for Vinny Testaverde or Jamal Anderson. Vinny doesn't have Keyshawn Johnson anymore and has a new head coach in Al Groh. Atlanta struggled last year offensively and defensively. In Denver, though, the offensive line is solid, and the coaching staff remains great. Davis has more help around him than Anderson and Testaverde.

John Clayton
Terrell Davis
Denver has a good running offense, and Davis knows how to work well within the Broncos' system. Olandis Gary can give Davis some breaks when necessary. The Broncos plan to use Gary in the same backfield with Davis 18 percent of the time. The fact that Brian Griese has had another year of experience should help Davis out.

Mark Malone
Terrell Davis
He had been so dominant and has come back relatively quickly from his knee injury. Davis probably has a little better chance of returning to full strength than Jamal Anderson. One reason is the difference in his style of running, and Davis gets to play on grass. I don't foresee Davis being able to carry the load right away. Davis and Anderson probably won't be able to reach full form until their second season after the injury. If Davis is even 80 percent of what he was, the Broncos have a pretty good chance of winning the AFC West.

Mike Golic
Terrell Davis
Denver has a better offense than Vinny Testaverde has in New York and Jamal Anderson has in Atlanta. We saw that last year when Olandis Gary filled in for Davis and had a great year behind an aging offensive line. Brian Griese has a year under his belt and can run the offense better this time around. Davis has the best shot to come back given the fact that he has better surrounding personnel. Davis will have the most help.
