EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) _ Todd Marchant's second goal of the game lifted the Edmonton Oilers into a 3-3 tie with the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday night.

Marchant scored with 1:42 left after taking a perfect pass from Mike Grier and shooting the puck into a wide-open net. Marchant extended his points streak to a career-high six games, and has four goals and five assists in that span.

Doug Weight also scored for Edmonton, and Tommy Salo made 35 saves.

Trent Klatt had two goals and an assist for Vancouver, and Markus Naslund had a goal and two assists. Mark Messier assisted on all three goals.

The Canucks, who rallied from a 2-0 second-period deficit, took a 3-2 lead on Klatt's second goal of the game at 14:08 of the third.

Edmonton took a 1-0 lead at 14:15 of the first period when Bill Guerin fired a slap shot from the top of the faceoff circle. The puck deflected off Weight and past Canucks goalie Felix Potvin.

Marchant made it 2-0 with a deflection of Grier's pass from the left boards 26 seconds into the second period.

Naslund got Vancouver on the scoreboard when he beat Salo on a wraparound with 1:09 remaining in the second.

Klatt tied it 2-2 by tipping in Naslund's point shot at 2:53 of the third. He gave Vancouver a 3-2 lead when he jammed in the puck on a power play with 5:52 left.
