CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- With Jaromir Jagr still out with an injury, the Calgary Flames decided it was their turn to score some goals.

Valeri Bure had two goals and two assists, rookie Martin St. Louis added a pair of goals and Andreas Johansson chipped in with a goal and three assists as the Flames routed the Pittsburgh Penguins 8-2 on Wednesday night.

	Brad Werenka and the Penguins tried to push Valeri Bure around, but the Flames star had the last laugh.

"It felt good," said St. Louis, who ended a 34-game scoring drought with his second and third goals of the season. "We haven't blown out many teams this season."

The Penguins, despite a winless steak of six games, remain seventh in the race for eight Eastern Conference playoff berths.

"It's not right how we're playing right now, nobody cares for anybody," Pittsburgh center Martin Straka said. "We've just got to pick it up. We have 18 games left and we have to play harder than this because Jags isn't going to be here for a couple more weeks."

The Penguins locker room was closed for 25 minutes after the game for a players-only meeting.

In addition to St. Louis, Johansson also ended a lengthy scoreless streak, getting his first goal in 19 games.

"This will be a good kick start for both those guys," Bure said. "They've both been playing well for us but the puck hasn't been bouncing there way. Hopefully they can keep this going and carry it into the next game."

Robyn Regehr, Marc Savard, and Clarke Wilm also scored for Calgary, 4-1-1 in its last six games.

Jarome Iginla had an assist on Savard's goal to extend his point-scoring streak to 14 games, tying him with Los Angeles Kings' Luc Robitaille for the longest active streak.

Scoring both goals for Pittsburgh was Alexei Kovalev, who reached the 20-goal plateau for the year. The Penguins are 1-6-3 this season without Jagr in the lineup.

Both of Bure's goals, his 32nd and 33rd of the year, came in the third period as Calgary put the game away with five consecutive goals, the final three coming against Peter Skudra after Jean-Sebastien Aubin was pulled at 2:26 of the third.

"It's not time to start looking and seeing where Jags is and when he's going to start playing," said Pittsburgh defenseman Jiri Slegr.

The Flames scored more than five goals in a game only once this year, in a 6-1 win over Detroit on Jan. 18.

The Flames moved within one point of Colorado and San Jose in the Western Conference playoff race. The Avalanche and Sharks are tied for seventh place in the battle for the final two playoff spots.
