TORONTO -- Gary Roberts returned to the Toronto Maple Leafs lineup on Saturday night after missing the entire season following shoulder surgery.

Roberts got medical clearance to play Wednesday following his rehabilitation from surgeries on both shoulders last summer.

The 36-year-old winger joined Mats Sundin and Alexander Mogilny on Toronto's top line. He received a loud ovation when he was announced as a starter.

Roberts scored 21 goals and had 27 assists last season. He also had 19 points in 19 playoff games.
