Zubov still not ready to return ESPN.com news services
DALLAS -- The Dallas Stars said defenseman Sergei Zubov will not play Friday night against the Oilers in Game 5 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series, which the Stars lead 3-1.

| Zubov | The Stars say Zubov is day-to-day with the sprained MCL in his right knee, which he hurt on March 29 against Florida.
Zubov does not have a tear of the ligament as has been reported. Zubov has missed the first
four games of the series.
Stars coach Ken Hitchcock had said earlier this week that Zubov might play in Game 4 or Game 5 at the latest.
On March 21, the Stars announced they had signed Zubov to a five-year contract extension through the 2004-2005 season. The 29-year-old won the Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1994 and the Stars in 1999. |
