SYDNEY, Australia -- Inger Miller, who missed the 100 and 200 meters because of a hamstring injury, says she is ready to run in the 400-meter relays.

"We're going to run Inger in the first round and see what happens," U.S. women's coach Karen Dennis said.

The rest of the pool for the women's 400-relay is made up of Marion Jones, Chryste Gaines, Gail Devers, Torri Edwards and Nanceen Perry. Devers, however, pulled out of the 100-meter hurdles semifinals with a hamstring injury Wednesday night and might not be able to run.

U.S. men's coach John Chaplin announced the six members of the men's 1,600-meter relay pool.

They are two-time Olympic 400-meter gold medalist Michael Johnson, 400-meter silver medalist Alvin Harrison, 400-meter hurdles gold medalist Angelo Taylor, Antonio Pettigrew, Jerome Young and Harrison's twin brother Calvin Harrison.

Meanwhile, Canada will be without Donovan Bailey and Bruny Surin, their two best sprinters, in the 400-meter relay. Bailey, the 1996 gold medalist at 100 meters, pulled out of the second round of the 100 with a respiratory virus. Surin pulled out of the 100 semifinals with a hamstring injury.
