CHICAGO (AP) -- Ante Razov scored two of Chicago's four second-half goals as the Fire rallied to rout the Tampa Bay Mutiny 5-1 Friday night.

The Mutiny were playing their second game in three nights.

"We felt that the second half was important," Fire coach Bob Bradley said. "We knew that Tampa would be a tired team tonight."

Trailing 1-0, the hosts tied the game in the 26th minute, when Peter Nowak took a return pass from Jesse Marsch and fired a shot past Tampa Bay goalkeeper Scott Garlick from the edge of the penalty area.

The Fire (3-3-1) jumped ahead two minutes after halftime, as substitute forward John Wolyniec scored off a pass from Lubos Kubik, and Razov made it 3-1 in the 53rd minute thanks to Diego Gutierrez's cross.

Wolyniec came on in the 37th minute for Bulgarian 1994 World Cup star Hristo Stoitchkov, who aggravated a groin injury.

Razov assisted on a goal by Kubik in the 71st minute and capped the scoring with four minutes left with help from Nowak and defender Evan Whitfield.

Tampa Bay (4-4-0) took an early lead when defender Steve Trittschuh scored his first goal of the season in the 15th minute.

But the Mutiny, who beat San Jose 4-0 Wednesday, fell apart after the break and dropped to 0-4 on the road.

"Playing gether puts the players at great risk. The schedule prevented this from being a competitive match," Tampa coach Tim Hankinson said.

Chicago started Chris Snitko in goal because Zach Thornton is injured.
