DENVER (AP) _ Junior Agogo scored both goals for Colorado on
Monday and the Rapids beat the New England Revolution 2-1 to snap a
three-game losing streak at home. Agogo, who leads the team with six goals and 16 points, scored
in the 38th and 80th minutes to give the Rapids (6-7-0) a 2-0 lead. Paul Keegan scored in the 90th minute for New England (5-4-4),
which lost both games against Colorado this season. Agogo's first goal capped a three-pass play that was started in
the Colorado end by Paul Dougherty. Agogo's second goal came after he was pulled down at the left
side of the 6-yard box by New England defender Rusty Pierce. Goalie
Jeff Causey made the save on the penalty kick but Agogo converted
the rebound for the 2-0 lead. It was third save in as many penalty
kicks for Causey. Colorado played without defender Marcelo Balboa, who injured his
hamstring last Saturday against Miami, and midfielder Jason Bent,
who was with the Canadian national team.
