SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- With San Jose trailing in the 88th minute, Abdul Thompson Conteh, Dario Brose and Khodadad Azizi combined for a three-goal burst that led the Earthquakes over the Colorado Rapids 4-2 Saturday.
Thompson Conteh scored the tying goal in the 88th and Brose tied
it in the 90th minute. Azizi scored the final goal two minutes into
injury time.
The Earthquakes (3-6-4), who overcame a two-goal deficit in the
final 17 minutes to beat Colorado 4-3 on June 3, 1999, are unbeaten
in their last 11 games at Spartan Stadium.
Conteh finished with one goal and two assists, while Azizi,
Brose and John Doyle each had a goal and an assist.
Colorado (6-8) led 2-0 on goals by Paul Bravo in the 18th and
40th minutes. John Doyle scored San Jose's first goal in the 57th.
