BOX SCORE
DALLAS (AP) _ Rookie Aleksey Korol scored his first MLS goal with a minute left as the Dallas Burn ended a four-game losing streak by beating the Columbus Crew 3-2 Wednesday night. Dallas (5-8-1), last in the Central Division, trailed 2-1 before scoring twice in the final seven minutes to end Columbus' three-game unbeaten streak. Ted Eck headed in Oscar Pareja's cross in the 83rd minute to tie the score, and Korol followed with a low shot inside the left post from just outside the penalty box. Lazo Alavanja gave Dallas a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 11th minute. Columbus (5-7-2) answered with goals by Brian West in the 18th minute and John Wilmar Perez two minutes before halftime. Former Burn player Dante Washington assisted on both Crew scores. Dallas traded Washington to Columbus in a draft-day deal allowed the Burn to take Korol. Dallas outshot Columbus 13-5 in the second half. The game was the first of a doubleheader, preceding Mexico against South Africa in the U.S. Cup.
