DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Adin Brown made six saves and the Columbus Crew's Matt Napoleon saved three shots as the teams played to a 0-0 tie Saturday night.
Colorado tied a club record with 28 shots but only three were on
goal, including a missed penalty kick by Junior Agogo.
Columbus nearly scored in the 14th minute on a free kick by
Robert Warzycha, but Brown blocked the shot with one hand.
In the 73rd minute, Brown blocked a shot by Jason Farrell and
was on the ground when the ball bounced back to the Crew's Dante
Washington only 10 yards out. But Washington's kick sailed over the
top of the goal.
Columbus lost forward Brian McBride in the 42nd minute with a
facial injury. He was replaced by Washington.
