COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Eric Quill scored in the 82nd minute as the Tampa Bay Mutiny beat Columbus 2-1 on Wednesday night to move into a first-place tie in Major League Soccer's Central Division.
Tampa Bay and Chicago (9-7-3) each have 30 points, eight more
than third-place Columbus.
Quill beat goalkeeper Matt Napoleon with a left-foot shot after
Steve Trittschuh's header deflected off the right post.
Mamadou Diallo gave Tampa Bay (10-8-0) a 1-0 lead during
first-half injury time with his league-leading 16th goal.
Columbus (6-8-4) tied it in the 76th minute on Brian West's goal
off a pass from Jeff Cunningham.
