SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- The San Jose Earthquakes extended their
MLS-record home unbeaten streak to 15 games with a 0-0 tie against
the Kansas City Wizards on Tuesday night.
Wizards goalkeeper Tony Meola made eight saves for his 13th
shutout of the season, extending his MLS record.
San Jose, which outshot Kansas City 23-10, leads the league in
ties (eight) and overtime games played (nine.) It was the
Earthquakes' third straight tie at home and their fourth scoreless
tie this season.
Kansas City (11-2-5) leads the Western Division by four points
over Los Angeles, which beat Columbus 1-0 Tuesday night.
