FOXBORO, Mass. (AP) -- Alex Comas and Petter Villegas scored
goals as the New York-New Jersey MetroStars beat the New England
Revolution 2-0 on Saturday in Major League Soccer.
The Eastern Division-leading MetroStars have won four straight
to improve to 12-7-2. They also have won five in a row on the road.
New England is 0-5-1 in its last six to drop to 7-9-5.
Comas scored on a header less than three minutes into the match,
and the MetroStars made it 2-0 in the 61st minute on Villegas' goal
off a pass from Adolfo Valencia.
MetroStars goalkeeper Mike Ammann made five saves for his third
shutout of the season.
Jamar Beasley of the Revolution was removed from the field on a cart after getting hip-checked and collapsing during the game. The team says he has movement in his arms and legs but will be kept at the hospital overnight for observation.
