DENVER (AP) _ The Colorado Rapids and Chicago Fire battled to a 1-1 tie Friday night on first-half goals by Junior Agogo and Carlos Bocanegra.

The Rapids scored first on Agogo's header from inside the box in the 27th minute.

The Fire tied it only eight minutes later on Bocanegra's header from 12 yards out.

Chicago (10-8-5, 35 points) had six shots on goal and three saves by Zach Thornton. Colorado (10-10-3, 33 points) had four shots on goal and five saves by David Kramer.
