SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- The San Jose Earthquakes fell to the
Columbus Crew 2-1 on Wednesday night, their third straight loss at
home.
The loss drops the Earthquakes into 12th place.
Mike Lapper scored the first goal for the Crew at 43 minutes of the first half. Brian McBride scored at the 51-minute mark to give Columbus a 2-0 lead.
Dario Brose got the Earthquakes' sole goal on a penalty kick during second-half injury time.
