KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kerry Zavagnin scored two minutes into the game and the Kansas City Wizards went on to beat the Colorado Rapids 3-1 on Wednesday night.
It was the quickest goal from the start of a match in Kansas City's history.
The Wizards added to their lead on a breakaway goal in the 75th minute when Milkos Molnar chipped the ball over Rapids goalkeeper David Kramer.
Paul Bravo scored the lone goal for Colorado (10-11-3) on a
penalty kick with five minutes to play.
Kansas City (13-5-5) completed the scoring when Gary Glasgow
scored off a Chris Klein pass in the second minute of second-half
extra time.
