CHICAGO (AP) -- Ante Razov scored two goals as the Chicago Fire
beat the New York-New Jersey MetroStars 3-1 on Sunday.
Razov headed in a goal in the 41st minute, as Chris Armas sent
the ball to Mike Sorber, who passed it to Razov.
Razov scored again in the 56th minute when rookie DaMarcus
Beasley stole a pass by the MetroStars (13-9-2), and found Razov
near the edge of the box. It was Beasley's first professional point
and Razov's 15th goal of the season.
Both teams scored on penalty kicks in the final minutes of the
game.
The win moved Chicago (12-8-5) into a tie for first place in the
Central Division with the Tampa Bay Mutiny.
