DALLAS (AP) -- Rookie Aleksey Korol scored two goals as the Dallas Burn beat the Chicago Fire 3-0 on Wednesday night in Major League Soccer.
Korol opened the scoring in the 25th minute off a pass from Oscar Pareja, and made it 2-0 in the 68th minute. Korol has five
goals in 18 games.
Pareja scored in the 83rd minute, heading Antonio Martinez's
pass past goalkeeper Zach Thorton.
Chicago played without several of its top players. Midfielder
Chris Armas and striker Ante Razov are with the U.S. national team
and Peter Nowak and Lubos Kubik are out with injuries.
Dallas improved to 12-12-4, and Chicago dropped to 12-9-5.
