COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ John Wilmar Perez and Brian West scored
second-half goals as the Columbus Crew rallied to tie the Colorado
Rapids 3-3 Saturday night.
Perez scored in the 58th minute to make it 3-2 and West tied it
in the 82nd minute when he put back a rebound from 14 yards.
Dante Washington hit the post in the 85th minute for Columbus
(2-3-3), which fell to 1-0-1 under interim coach Greg Andrulis.
Colorado (2-6-2) had the best chance to score in overtime as
Paul Bravo's shot hit the left post in the second minute.
Marcelo Balboa and Ross Paule each had a goal and an assist for
the Rapids.
Balboa's header in the 21st minute tied the game 1-1 and ended
Colorado's scoreless streak at 300 minutes. The Rapids lost three
games 1-0 during their offensive drought.
John Spencer scored on a header in the 28th minute and Paule
one-timed a right-wing pass from Imad Baba in the 58th minute to
give the Rapids a 3-1 lead.
