DALLAS (AP) _ Brian West scored in the 54th minute to lead the
Columbus Crew to a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Burn on Saturday
night.
Dallas (6-6-1) played the entire second half with a man
advantage after Columbus' Jeff Cunningham received a red card in
the 43rd minute for stepping on the head of a fallen Ryan Suarez.
Tenywa Bonseu set up West's game-winning goal by lofting a pass
down the right sideline. West broke past Burn defender Richard
Farrer and knocked the ball into the right side of the goal.
Columbus (4-4-4) had tied the game in the 29th minute on a
header by Mike Lapper. John Wilmar Perez sent a crossing pass to
Lapper and earned an assist on the play.
Dallas charged to an early lead when Ariel Graziani scored in
the 19th minute. Jason Kreis had his shot deflected by Bonseu, but
Graziani corralled the deflection and scored from outside the
penalty box.
