TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Paul Bravo scored two goals in the first 20
minutes to lead the Colorado Rapids to a 2-1 victory over the Tampa
Bay Mutiny on Saturday night.
Tampa Bay (3-16-1) lost its sixth straight match and dropped to 1-8-1 at home.
Bravo opened the scoring in the 11th minute, beating former
teammate Adin Brown on a breakaway. The goal was the first in three
games for Colorado (5-9-6).
Bravo gave the Rapids a two-goal lead nine minutes later,
converting a rebound off the left post. With the goal, Bravo became
the ninth MLS player to score 50 goals.
Steve Ralston scored to the left of Colorado goalkeeper Scott Garlick in the 43rd minute as Tampa Bay closed within a goal.
Ralston had an apparent second goal disallowed by an offside call in the 69th minute.
