CHICAGO (AP) _ Eric Wynalda scored two goals and Peter Nowak
added a goal and an assist as the Chicago Fire beat the Tampa Bay
Mutiny 3-1 on Saturday.
Central Division-leading Chicago (12-5-4) extended its home
unbeaten streak to six games, and has lost only once this season at
Soldier Field.
John Maessner scored for the Mutiny (4-16-1), who have won just
twice in their last 19 matches and have allowed an MLS-worst 2.4
goals a game.
Wynalda has five goals in three games against Tampa this season
as Chicago swept the season series 4-0.
The Mutiny opened the scoring on Maessner's goal in the 17th
minute.
Wynalda tied it on a penalty kick during first-half stoppage
time, and made it 2-1 on a header in the 50th minute. He has nine
goals this season. Nowak added his fifth goal in 71st minute.
