(AP) -- Lisa Leslie tied a season-high with 21 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds as the Los Angeles Sparks snapped Houston's six-game winning streak with a 90-84 victory over the Comets on Tuesday night. The victory put second-place Los Angeles (7-2) one game behind the Comets (9-2) in the WNBA's Western Divsiion. Leslie scored 11 of her points during a four-minute stand late in the second half. Mwadi Mabika added 21 points for Los Angeles, while Ukari Figgs had 12 points and a career-high eight assists. Houston's Sheryl Swoopes led all scorers with 27 points, and Cynthia Cooper had 24. The Comets held a 12-7 lead when the Sparks went on an 11-0 blitz in the first half. Houston failed to make a basket for nearly 10 minutes of the opening half. Los Angeles began the second half with a 7-2 spurt in the first 1½ minutes to extend its lead to 53-43.
