PHOENIX (AP) -- Jennifer Gillom scored 28 points on 10-of-12 shooting and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Phoenix Mercury to an 84-77 victory over the Orlando Miracle on Tuesday night. The Mercury set a franchise record for field goal percentage, going 29-of-51 (56.9 percent). The previous record was 55 percent in an 80-62 victory at Houston on June 3. Tonya Edwards scored 12 points and Brandy Reed added 11 for Phoenix (18-10), which has won four of its past five games. Adrienne Johnson led Orlando with 24 points and Shannon Johnson added 15. The loss was the sixth straight for the Miracle (14-14) and eighth in their past nine games. It is the first time since June 22 that Orlando has been at the .500 mark. Orlando cut a 10-point deficit to 66-64 with 4:10 left. Gillom then made a basket and a 3-pointer as the Mercury went on a 7-0 run and pulled away. The Mercury also set a team record for field goal percentage in a first half, going 17-of-25 (68 percent) in taking a 41-34 lead.
