Sting win team-record sixth straight game |

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Dawn Staley scored 15 points and Shalonda
Enis added 12 as the Charlotte Sting beat the Seattle Storm 48-38 Saturday night, tying a franchise record with their sixth straight win.
Staley also had five assists, and Enis added seven rebounds for
Charlotte (7-10), which also won six straight in 1999.
Simone Edwards led Seattle (8-9) with 14 points and five
rebounds. Lauren Jackson failed to reach double figures for the
first time in 16 games. She finished with seven points on 3-for-10
shooting.
The Storm shot 33 percent , including 1-of-12 from 3-point
range, and failed to score 40 or more points for the second time
this season.
Staley and Enis hit 3-pointers in an 8-0 run that gave Charlotte
a 38-24 lead with 12:39 left. The Storm never got closer than seven
points the rest of the way.
Charlotte held Seattle scoreless for six minutes late in the
first half and held a 23-17 halftime lead.
The teams hit 15 field goals and shot a combined 33 percent in
the first half. The teams also combined for 17 turnovers.
