SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) -- It was only appropriate that Barry Bonds hit the first home run at Pacific Bell Park.

The San Francisco Giants' slugger belted a solo shot off Andy Pettitte in the first inning, but Roberto Kelly, Paul O'Neill and Jorge Posada all went deep as the New York Yankees posted an 11-6 triumph in the exhibition finale for both teams.

San Francisco's new state-of-the-art ballpark hosted its first contest Friday night, but no one was able to take advantage of the friendly confines in the Giants' 8-3 victory over Milwaukee.

Tonight, Bonds cracked Pettitte's first offering over the wall into the China Basin Channel, now dubbed "McCovey Cove" after Giants Hall of Fame first baseman Willie McCovey.

Bonds, who was 3-for-3, figures to benefit most from the stadium's short right field due to his compact lefthanded swing.

Posada's solo homer in the fourth highlighted a three-run outburst off San Francisco starter Joe Nathan. O'Neill gave the Yankees a 4-3 lead in the fifth and Kelly snapped a 4-4 tie by taking Mark Gardner over the center-field fence in the sixth.

Kelly had a bases-clearing double in the eighth and finished a triple shy of the cycle for New York, which will open the season on Monday down the coast in Anaheim.

Former Yankee Russ Davis belted two homers for the Giants, who will begin the season on Monday at Florida and will play their first regular-season game here on April 11 against Los Angeles.
