LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Randy Wolf felt right at home in Dodger Stadium. Wolf, pitching at the ballpark for the first time since his high school championship game, threw his first complete game in the majors as the Philadelphia Phillies beat Los Angeles 4-2 Sunday. "It was a fun day," he said. "It's pretty special to do it here at Dodger Stadium. I've got all my friends and family here, and it's really something I'll cherish for a long time." Wolf, who was drafted by the Dodgers out of high school but did not sign, pitched a six-hitter. He struck out four and walked four in his 31st big league start. Wolf (4-3) was coming off his shortest outing of the season, having lasted only three innings last Tuesday at Houston. "My last outing was brutal," he said. "But today was getting stronger and stronger as I went along. I was getting a lot of first- and second-pitch outs. The last time Wolf pitched at Dodger Stadium was in his final high school game, when he tossed a complete-game victory for El Camino Real in the 1994 Los Angeles city championship game and earned MVP honors. The native of Canoga Park, Calif., might have been a tad nervous in this outing -- he hit his first batter, F.P. Santangelo, with his second pitch. "Whenever he needed to get an out, he got it," Dodgers second baseman Mark Grudzielanek said. "He definitely used all his pitches. He didn't have any one pitch that was working really well and he didn't strike many people out, but he had good command, he threw in and out and kept us off-balance." The complete game was only the fourth by the Phillies' staff, but manager Terry Francona said sentimentality didn't enter into his decision to let Wolf complete his 129-pitch effort. "It had nothing to do with where he was raised. We're trying to win," Francona said. "He hasn't been in the league long enough to have much of a history. I didn't want to let him stay out there all day, but he was pitching good. That's why he stayed in." Chad Kreuter of the Dodgers homered for the first time since his tussle with a fan at Wrigley Field. Dodgers starter Carlos Perez, who escaped bases-loaded jams in the third and fifth innings, took a 2-1 lead into the seventh. But Ron Gant hit a bloop single with one out, continued to second on left fielder Gary Sheffield's bobble and scored the tying run when Mike Lieberthal greeted Antonio Osuna (0-1) with a double down the right-field line. Kevin Jordan's RBI single made it 3-2. Desi Relaford drew a leadoff walk from Terry Adams in the eighth, advanced on Wolf's sacrifice and scored the Phillies' fourth run on a double by Kevin Sefcik. Sheffield opened the scoring with an RBI single, marking the sixth straight game in which the Dodgers scored in the first inning. The hit drove in Shawn Green, who hit his league-leading 18th double. Kreuter, whose eight-game suspension for his part in the May 16 fracas in Chicago is under appeal, connected in the fourth inning for his second homer of the season and first since April 19. Game notesDodgers 3B Adrian Beltre, who strained his right hamstring running out a grounder to second base in Saturday night's 7-6 loss, will be placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday, retroactive to Sunday. It will be Beltre's first stint on the DL in three major league seasons. ... The Phillies, who have scored fewer runs than any team except the Detroit Tigers, have left the bases loaded 14 times this season. ... The Phillies took two of three from the Dodgers. It was first time they've won a series from Los Angeles in six tries since May 1998, when they won three of four at Dodger Stadium. ... Gant ended an 0-for-16 drought with a third-inning double. ...
