PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- As the Philadelphia Phillies revamp their
starting rotation, Randy Wolf is proving he'll be a fixture.
Pat Burrell's bases-loaded walk broke a tie and Wolf allowed
four hits over seven innings as the Phillies beat the Los Angeles
Dodgers 3-2 Sunday as trade rumors swirled around Veterans Stadium.

During the game, the Phillies traded outfielder Ron Gant and
cash to Anaheim for pitcher Kent Bottenfield.
"I haven't been here long, but last year was nothing like
this," Wolf said. "New faces every day."
The Gant trade came four days after Philadelphia sent ace Curt
Schilling to Arizona, and amid speculation that another deal may
soon follow -- possibly involving Rico Brogna.
Gant, who wasn't in the starting lineup, led the Phillies with
20 homers, including six since the All-Star break. He batted .254
with 38 RBI.
"They gave me a chance to prove I can play again," said Gant,
who was set to ride the team charter to San Diego en route to
joining the Angels. "I understand the situation they're in."
The Phillies scored the go-ahead run off Chan Ho Park (11-8) in
the seventh. Pinch-hitter Kevin Sefcik led off with a single, went
to second on a sacrifice and walks to Bobby Abreu and Travis Lee
loaded the bases.
Burrell's walk forced home the go-ahead run. He now is 5-for-6
with 13 RBI with the bases full.
Wolf (9-5) allowed four hits and two runs in seven innings. He
struck out two and walked four.
"They fouled off pitch after pitch and made him work,"
Phillies manager Terry Francona said. "Look at his numbers -- it was
the sixth, seventh inning and we were in the game."
Ed Vosberg and Chris Brock pitched a scoreless eighth. Jeff
Brantley earned his 17th save in 20 chances.
"It felt like a million and three degrees out there," Wolf
said about the humidity on an 81-degree day.
Park allowed nine hits and three runs -- two earned -- in 6 2/3
innings. He struck out two and walked five. Park hadn't lost to the
Phillies in 10 previous starts, having won four straight after six
no-decisions.
"He must have been a little tired (in the seventh)," Dodgers
manager Davey Johnson said. "I thought it was his game to lose."
Chad Kreuter's two-run single in the fourth gave Los Angeles a
2-1 lead and ended an 18-inning scoreless drought.
The Dodgers scored two runs off Omar Daal in the third inning of
Friday night's 2-0 victory and had been shut out since.
Los Angeles scored four runs in the series after scoring 30 in a
four-game series at Colorado.
"I guess we got tired of running the bases in Colorado,"
Johnson said.
After retiring nine of the first 10 batters, Wolf got in trouble
by walking Shawn Green and Adrian Beltre around Gary Sheffield's
single.
Kreuter's two-out single to left scored Green and Sheffield.
Philadelphia tied it at 2 when Burrell led off the fourth with a
double, moved to third on a grounder and scored on a passed ball by
Kreuter.
Burrell hesitated before breaking for the plate and would've
been out easily had Park caught Kreuter's toss.
Lee, acquired in the Schilling deal, made it 1-0 with his first
RBI for the Phillies on a grounder in the first.
Doug Glanville led off with a single, went to second on a bunt
single by Mickey Morandini, advanced to third on a fly out by Abreu
and scored on Lee's grounder to third.
Bottenfield, acquired from St. Louis in the off-season for Jim
Edmonds, is 7-8 with a 5.71 ERA. He has won three of his last four
decisions, including a 6-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox on
Saturday night.
He is expected to join the rotation, though Francona wouldn't
say when he'll pitch.
The Phillies rotation now includes Wolf, Robert Person, Bruce
Chen, acquired from Atlanta in a trade for Andy Ashby, Daal,
acquired in the Schilling deal, Cliff Politte, who shut Los Angeles
over seven innings Saturday, and Bottenfield.
Game notes
Los Angeles had won four straight series. ... Burrell has 43 RBI in 56 games. ... Lee, a slick-fielding first baseman, started in left and moved to first in the eighth
inning. ... Phillies 3B Scott Rolen did not play Sunday. He's stuck
on 99 career homers.
