1996
Had an 18 scoreless innings streak April 21 - May 1 ... Hit two home runs for the second straight year ... Placed on the 15-day DL with a pulled left oblique muscle on July 23 ... Out until Sept. 2 ... Was rocked in his final two appearances, allowing 12 earned runs in 1.1 innings pitched.

1995
Labeled the Braves tough luck pitcher the first month of the season, getting just 16 runs of support in his first seven starts (2.3/game) ...Tossed a complete-game shutout for his first win of the season, 4-0 on May 19 vs. Florida ... Suffered through a four-game losing streak Aug. 28-Sept. 12 ... Bounced back with a complete game victory Sept. 18 vs. the Mets, as the Braves won 7-1 (4 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K) ... Lefties batted just .198 against him (18-for-91) ... Picked off 13 batters (9 by assist) ... Tied Tom Glavine for the team lead with eight sacrifice hits.

1994
Began the season by winning five of his first six decisions with a 2.49 ERA ... Held opposing batters to a .227 batting average, tied for fourth-best in the NL ... Struck out a career-high 11 batters in 8.0 innings on Aug. 8 at Cincinnati ... Finished the season with 122 strikeouts, ninth best in the league.

1993
Went 18-6 to equal his career high for wins ... At 23, became the youngest Braves pitcher to win 50 games ... Won eight straight from May 12 to June 25, maintaining a 2.11 ERA ... Pitched in his first All-Star Game ... Atlanta won 21 of the 23 games he pitched from May 2 to Sept. 2 ... Threw 18 straight innings without a walk June 2-13 ... Finished fifth in the National League with a 2.94 ERA ... Led the NL with 15 pickoffs ... Recorded a 2.77 ERA in two starts in the NLCS vs. Philadelphia.

1992
Began the season 2-5 with an ERA of 3.57 ... The Braves scored only 25 runs in his 11 losses ... His six scoreless innings to start Game 2 vs. Pittsburgh gave him an LCS-record 22-1/3 consecutive shutout innings going back to 1991 ... Was knocked out of Game 5 of the NLCS after 1/3 inning after giving up four runs on five hits.

1991
First full season with the Braves ... Won 18 games and lost eight to become the youngest Brave pitcher in this century to win 18 games ... Won his last five decisions and maintained a 2.14 ERA over his last eight games ... Finished the year 3-0 vs. the Dodgers, allowing just two earned runs in 31-2/3 innings ... Was named NLCS MVP after throwing two shutouts against the Pirates ... His 16-1/3 scoreless innings set a record for a single LCS ... Pitched twice in the World Series with no decisions ... In his last 12 starts from Aug. 30 through the post-season, he went 7-0 with a 1.94 ERA.

Made his major-league debut on June 13 after his call-up from Class AAA Richmond ... Won his first game on June 26 against the Dodgers, but struggled for the season, finishing 3-11 with a 5.64 ERA.
