OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) _ Derrick Coleman scored 14 of Charlotte's final 18 points as the Hornets beat the Golden State Warriors 102-99 on Tuesday night. Coleman finished with 34 points and 17 rebounds. He was 13-of-20 from the field and 8-of-8 from the line. The power forward was coming off a 26-point performance Sunday in the Hornets' home victory over Chicago after missing three games because of a sprained right ankle. Eddie Jones added 19 points for the Hornets, and Elden Campbell had 18. Larry Hughes led the Warriors with 21 points, Donyell Marshall added 19 and Vonteego Cummings had 18. Golden State has lost two straight at home following a season-high three-game home winning streak. Coleman made two free throws with 3:05 remaining to tie it at 88, and added a jumper with 2:24 left to give the Hornets a 90-88 lead. After Mookie Blaylock tied it with a jumper, Coleman hit consecutive baskets to give Charlotte a 94-90 lead with 1:21 remaining. Jason Caffey drew the Warriors within three with a free throw, but Coleman countered with two free throws to push the Hornets' lead to five at 96-91 with 57 seconds left. Blaylock made it 96-94 with a three-point play with 54 seconds remaining. Campbell's free throw made it 97-94 with 21.5 seconds left. After Golden State's Billy Owens hit a free throw with 20.5 seconds to go, Coleman made two more free throws with 18.9 seconds left to make it 99-95. Caffey pulled the Warriors within two again with a dunk with 11.9 seconds remaining, but Coleman hit two free throws with 11.1 seconds to go to make it 101-97. Cummings hit a jumper with 3.9 seconds to make it 101-99, and Charlotte's Baron Davis completed the scoring with a free throw with 3.6 seconds left. Hughes missed a 3-point attempt as time ran out.
