HOUSTON (AP) _ Rodney Rogers scored six of his 15 points in the final two minutes to spark the Phoenix Suns to 108-101 victory over the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. Anfernee Hardaway led Phoenix with 24 points, followed by Tom Gugliotta with 23, Cliff Robinson with 19 and Jason Kidd and Rogers each with 15. Steve Francis paced Houston with 32 points, followed by Shandon Anderson with 20, Cuttino Mobley with 14 and Hakeem Olajuwon with 12. A basket by Anderson gave Houston a 91-86 lead with 7:05 left. The Rockets led 95-93 after a basket by Mobley before the Suns outscored them 7-2. A field goal by Rogers was countered by Francis' basket as the Suns retained a 102-99 advantage with 1:53 left. Rogers then sank a pair of free throws and added a dunk moments later. After a basket by Francis, Kidd converted two free throws with 18 seconds left to secure the victory. Francis scored 17 third-quarter points, including 12 in the final four minutes of the period. The score was tied 80-80 going into the final period. Phoenix moved ahead 10-2 after two baskets by Gugliotta. Consecutive baskets by Anderson gave Houston its first lead, 19-18, with 3:48 left in the period. The Suns then outscored Houston 14-6 to lead 32-25 going into the second quarter. The Suns lead 38-29 with 7:46 left in the second period, before Houston went on a 12-2 run, eight by Mobley. Two baskets by Olajuwon in the final minute of the half boosted Houston to a 55-51 lead at the half. Notes: Mobley leads all NBA players with 10 starts or less in scoring with a 15-point average. ... Houston is 8-29 over the last three seasons in games that are nationally televised. ... When the Suns score 21 or more points off opponent turnovers, they are 17-5. ... Phoenix is 29-9 when holding its opponent to fewer than 100 points.
