ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- Tariq Abdul-Wahad scored 16 points and the Orlando Magic used an 11-1 third-quarter run to defeat the Dallas Mavericks, 109-97, and remain undefeated in the exhibition season. Micheal Doleac's 15-foot jumper with just over seven minutes remaining in the third gave the Magic a 71-68 lead before Abdul-Wahad converted a layup seconds later for a five-point advantage. Chris Gatling scored a pair of baskets and Darrell Armstrong added a 3-pointer to give Orlando a 80-69 advantage with just over three minutes left. The Magic outscored the Mavericks 24-11 in the quarter. Dallas forward Cedric Ceballos helped Orlando continue its run by missing four shots and committing a turnover. Six players scored in double figures for Orlando (6-0), which shot 50 percent (46-for-92) from the floor. Erick Strickland collected 20 points and five assists for the Mavericks (2-3), who played without Shawn Bradley, Michael Finley, Steve Nash and Gary Trent due to injuries.
