BOX SCORE
SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Allen Iverson scored 24 points as the Philadelphia 76ers came from behind to defeat the Utah Jazz, 94-89, in a preseason matchup. Iverson had a poor shooting night, hitting only 6-of-18 from the floor, but drained 12-of-15 free throws as the 76ers improved to 4-2 in the preseason and avenged an 83-71 loss to the Jazz on Sunday. The 76ers were dealt a blow in that game when first-round pick Speedy Claxton suffered a season-ending knee injury in the second quarter. Philadelphia outscored Utah 20-9 in the final period tonight after the Jazz held a 31-13 edge in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest. Eric Snow scored 16 points and Theo Ratliff added 14 for the Sixers. Jazz guard John Starks had by far his best game of the exhibition season, scoring 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-4 from behind the arc. Utah signed Starks to a two-year deal over the summer to fill the hole created by Jeff Hornacek's retirement. Karl Malone collected 23 points and seven rebounds for the Jazz (3-4).
