Melvin Levett
Drafted by:
Detroit, Round 2, pick 54.

EXPERT ANALYSIS
"Melvin Levett is a spectacular athlete who looks like he was dropped from the ceiling on certain plays. He is a great leaper that can get up and down the floor when the spirit moves him. Levett can shoot the ball off the dribble and has 3-point range, but he is a streaky shooter. Levett must show he has the ability to handle the ball and shoot it with consistency, or he will have to get a real job.

Levett has the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket, but he often relied on his 3-point shot rather than to exploit his athletic advantage by heading to the basket to dunk or draw contact. Levett can be a good defender and was well-trained on the defensive end. He performed very well at some of the postseason events, and it is undeniable that he has big-time athletic ability. If he can add some refined skills to his athletic package, he has a chance. The question is, where does he play?"
