Description

The designers at ESPN.com work with art directors and the creative director to produce the best looking, most usable sports websites in the world. We need you to have an eye for typography, color and site structure. You need to take direction while adding your own flavor. You need to work well under tight deadlines and pressure packed situations... kind of like Trevor Hoffman.

Job Requirements - BA or BFA degree in graphic design.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in sports.
- 2-4 years experience in a corporate design group or agency.

Specific Skills - Expert knowledge of PhotoShop, Illustrator or Freehand and related design/photo imaging software.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, DHTML; working understanding of Flash is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at once;

Title: Associate Producer

Description
Associate producer is a technical position. The fantasy games associate producer is responsible for producing, managing, creating and maintaining the technical elements of ESPN.com fantasy games. This position serves as a bridge between engineering, design, content development, marketing, advertising, sales and editorial groups. Typically an associate producer will be responsible for a number of fantasy games and will produce all applications, templates and features for those games year-round. The associate producer will also be responsible for the continual generation and implementation of new ideas for their games. Additionally the associate producer will be responsible for many smaller projects and tasks throughout the year. Typical duties include: template maintenance and creation, automation troubleshooting, coverage planning, investigation and implementation of new technologies. The associate producer will also work with many groups within ESPN.com and ESPN to develop new ideas for Internet sports coverage and fantasy game feature enhancements.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in sports and fantasy games;
- 2-5 years experience in a technical role, preferably with a high-traffic, world-class web site;
- Proven ability to be innovative and come up with unique solutions;

Specific Skills
- Expert knowledge of HTML; working knowledge of JavaScript and DHTML;
- Some structured programming experience or coursework;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong project management experience, with project lives ranging from a few days to many months;
- Experience writing technical specs and driving them through development;

ESPN ENTERPRISES

Initially helps to manage the current transition of ESPN and X Games (XG) branded consumer products from Disney back to ESPN. This role will evolve, over the next six months, into a Product Manager position within the new Consumer Products division. This person will ultimately be responsible for the day-to-day product management of products such as apparel, sporting goods, toys, stationary products, and consumer electronics. The Product Manager role may evolve into a brand specific role (ESPN, X Games or BASS) or a product specific role (Apparel, Sporting Goods, etc). In either case, this person will serve as a key point person interacting with licensees, retailers, and internal ESPN divisions.

Job Requirements:
Four year college degree. Minimum of five years of brand management or consumer product marketing and/or sales required. Experience in branded consumer products, particularly toys, sporting goods, and apparel, and/or entertainment industries preferred. Retail and licensing experience helpful. Must have strong marketing and project management skills. Must be very organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Supervisory experience is beneficial. Knowledge of and interest in action sports or other sports is a major plus.

EDITORIAL

Description:
Writes creative, engaging headlines that increase traffic. Provides the initial edit for wire stories, adding information from ESPN reporters and other outside sources. Provides the second edit for ESPN.com staff copy (and, sometimes the initial edit during off hours for beats editors). Reads original staff copy for syntax, grammar, punctuation, facts and story structure. Makes judgments on story play and participates in packaging content into lead stories on the ESPN.com front page and individual sport index pages.

Job Requirements:
Must possess a keen knowledge of the attributes of compelling stories, good writing and incisive reporting in order to exercise judgment in the selection, prioritization, editing and posting of content. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prefer a bachelor's degree and several years of experience in traditional or new media at the minimum, or the equivalent combination of education, knowledge and experience. Curiosity, creativity, a comfort with change and limitless potential are valued most highly.

Successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate billing of Affiliate subscriber fees, supervise a team of Sr Accountants and Affiliate Revenue staff, handle contractual rate cards for all domestic and international networks, and maintain the AIS System for billing integrity. In addition, you will coordinate, review and resolve audit issues, implement system enhancements, oversee outstanding A/R balances, and be responsible for all accounting, billing, and related reporting for new technology.

Qualifications:
Requires a BS Degree in Accounting, supported by 5 years experience (2 of which were in a progressive managerial role, and 2 of which were in public accounting). Thorough understanding of US GAAP, solid working knowledge of financial systems/ applications, and excellent organizational and communication skills are also essential. CPA preferred
