Inside the Playbook: Buccaneers at Packers

Quarterbacks love this play when they're throwing to big bodies like Herman Moore, Jerry Rice and Chris Carter and Keyshawn Johnson. When the receiver bodies a defender on a play like this, they have to go through the big receiver to get the ball which could result in a pass interference call. Also, if the QB misses high, a big, tall receiver like Keyshawn can reach up and catch it.

This is a go-to play for teams like Minnesota and St. Louis -- who run it as well as anyone. Keyshawn ran this all the time in New York and is continuing it with Tampa Bay. He's not a deep receiver, but he's at his best on routes like this. Yards after catch are very important on this play, and that is what Keyshawn excels at.

Shaun King's responsibility on this play is to pick the hole to throw to get Keyshawn the ball. He whips his head around as soon as he makes his break, and King has to get the ball between defenders -- either the corner and the linebacker or between linebackers. This is a high-percentage play on any down. If Keyshawn breaks a tackle in man coverage, he could take this to the house.
