BOX SCORE
TORONTO (Ticker) -- Defenseman Daniil Markov's goal in the final seconds of overtime gave the Toronto Maple Leafs a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks in the exhibition finale for both teams. Markov corraled Mats Sundin's pass at the left point and skated into the slot before beating goaltender Jocelyn Thibault with a low wrist shot with 15.3 seconds left. Todd Warriner scored twice and Sundin collected three assists for Toronto, which completed a 5-4 preseason. Curtis Joseph made 31 saves, including a sliding glove stop on Tony Amonte's one-timer from the right side midway through the extra period. Amonte had a power-play goal and J.P. Dumont and Wendel Clark also scored for the Blackhawks, who went 4-5 in exhibition play and open the regular season on Monday at San Jose. The Leafs begin the season Saturday at Montreal.
