TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Petr Svoboda and Ryan Johnson scored 1:43 apart midway through the third period as the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 in a preseason game Sunday. Tampa Bay goalie Dan Cloutier, who had 29 saves, preserved the win by stopping Rod Brind'Amour's penalty shot with one second remaining. Niclas Wallin scored in the second period for Carolina. Svoboda's power play goal at 9:52 of the third period tied the game. Johnson scored the game-winner at 11:35. Tampa Bay captain Vincent Lecavalier missed his second consecutive game with an injured left elbow.
