LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Goalie Jamie Storr stopped all 20 shots in his first full game to lead the Los Angeles Kings to a 2-0 preseason victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday night.

Lubomir Visnovsky's power-play goal, a wrist shot inside the right post, gave Los Angeles (4-2-0) a 1-0 lead at 2:32 of the second period.

Craig Johnson scored at 7:49 of the third period with a wrist shot underneath Phoenix goalie Sean Burke, who made 32 saves. The Coyotes (2-3-1-1) took only four shots in the first period.

Meanwhile, Kings defenseman Rob Blake reassumed his role as team captain Tuesday night. He relinquished the job before the exhibition season to protest what he called an ultimatum from team management during negotiations for a contract extension.

Blake, signed through this season, rejected a three-year extension worth $22.5 million. The club then suspended negotiations.

Kings general manager Dave Taylor said Blake's return as captain would have no effect on negotiations.

"I think everybody on the team considers Rob the captain," Taylor said. "It's nice to see that he's reconsidered."
