Breaking down the financial side

Geoff Sanderson only has to worry about hockey for Columbus.
The Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets won't win too many games on the ice in their inaugural NHL season. But the real question for the new franchises is whether they can win off the ice, namely by making money. ESPN.com's Darren Rovell takes a look at the question of profitability as well as the topic of expansion entrance fees, which were $80 million and go straight into other owners' pockets. But that's not as high as the other major professional sports.
