SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Abdul Thompson Conteh scored twice and rookie Wojtek Krakowiak added his first MLS goal as the San Jose Earthquakes remained unbeaten at home with a 3-1 defeat of the Miami Fusion.

The Quakes extended their MLS-record home unbeaten streak to 12 games, dating back to last August.

Krakowiak netted his first MLS goal nine minutes after entering as a substitute. The rookie slid onto the end of Richard Mulrooney's volley along the six-yard box, slotting home the game-winner from a few yards out in the 55th minute.

Conteh added his second goal of the game to give the Earthquakes a comfortable 3-1 cushion in the 87th minute. Ian Russell played a cross from the right wing that was mishandled by goalkeeper Nick Rimando, allowing Conteh a chance for an easy tap-in.

The teams traded goals in the first half. San Jose struck first as Conteh netted his sixth of the season. Mulrooney played a corner kick to the six-yard line and Conteh headed it past Rimando while falling backwards in the 19th minute.

Miami tied it against the run of play in the 44th minute. Diego Serna was hauled down in the box by defender Dan Calichman. Henry Gutierrez knocked home the ensuing penalty kick before halftime.
