SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Defender Mauricio Wright scored in the final seconds against his former team as the New England Revolution rallied for a 2-2 tie with the San Jose Earthquakes, who extended their MLS-record home unbeaten streak to 13 games.

Making his Revolution debut after being traded by San Jose, Wright netted the equalizer with a flashing header. Midfielder Shaker Asad crossed the ball from the right sideline, and Wright climbed above the crowd to connect with the pass. His header struck the ground in front of the net, bouncing past goalkeeper Joe Cannon to force overtime.

New England lost midfielder Imad Baba, who was taken to a local hospital with an apparent shoulder injury after colliding with San Jose's Dan Calichman in the first half.

The Quakes jumped to an early lead in the 10th minute as Wojtek Krakowiak scored his second MLS goal in his first career start. Wright tried to carry John Harkes' pass out of danger, but forward Abdul Thompson Conteh stripped Wright inside the penalty area. Conteh's shot was stopped by goalkeeper Jeff Causey, but the rebound landed at the feet of Krakowiak, who made no mistake.

New England had a golden opportunity in the 36th minute after San Jose was called for a back pass inside the penalty area. The infraction was called when Quakes defender Mike Burns played the ball with his feet and Cannon played it with his hands.

On the resulting indirect free kick, the San Jose wall held firm and Mauricio Ramos' point-blank blast was deflected out of play.

Harut Karapetyan added his second goal of the season to put the Quakes up 2-0. Cannon started the play with a long pass downfield. Conteh occupied defender Brian Dunseth in an aerial battle, leaving Karapetyan open on the far side to collect the loose ball. Causey had no chance on Karapetyan's shot.

Wolde Harris halved New England's deficit in the 79th minute with a brilliant dribbling display. Defender Ted Chronopoulos fed Harris with a long pass along the flank and Harris carried deep into San Jose territory. Harris danced around Calichman and split the defense before firing the ball past Cannon for his seventh goal.
