BOX SCORE
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ Dante Washington and Mario Gori scored second-half goals as the Columbus Crew beat the Miami Fusion 2-0 on Wednesday night in Major League Soccer. The Crew did not get a shot on goal until the 62nd minute, when Washington ran down a long pass from Mike Lapper, raced past two defenders and sent a left-footer by goalkepper Nick Rimando. The Crew had only one other shot, Gori's goal in injury time. The Fusion turned the ball over to the Crew's Robert Warzycha about 16 yards to the right of their goal. He passed it into the penalty area to a Gori, who beat Rimando from 12 yards. Columbus goalkepper Mark Dougherty had five saves. With the loss, Miami (9-12-5, 32 points) failed to tie Columbus (11-11-5, 38 points) for the eighth and final playoff spot.
