INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Yolanda Griffith had 16 points and 16 rebounds as the Sacramento Monarchs beat the Indiana Fever 70-58 on Wednesday night. Griffith, the league MVP last season, also had four steals. Tangela Smith led the Monarchs (6-4) with 19 points, and Ruthie Bolton-Holifield added 14. Jurgita Streimikyte, who missed five of Indiana's first six games because of a sprained ankle, led the Fever (3-6) with 15 points. Rita Williams scored nine points. Sacramento held Indiana scoreless for six minutes late in the first half and scored 11 straight points to turn a four-point edge into a 36-21 advantage with 2:35 left in the half. Smith scored Sacramento's first six points of the second half as the Monarchs pushed their lead to 17 at 48-31.
